Free South Carolina Employer Recordkeeping Kit
Keep training deadlines, official SCDOR certificate copies, and manager follow-ups organized. Use it with records from any approved training provider.
No purchase, account, or email signup required.
Choose the format that fits your team
PDF: a two-page manager checklist and reusable employee register. Type into its fields and save, or print it. The PDF does not calculate dates.
Excel: 100 prepared employee rows with dropdowns, date flags, instructions, and fictional examples. Flags update when the workbook recalculates; it does not send email reminders.
Start with three steps
- Save one copy per licensed location and list your covered employees.
- Check any existing SC certificate, then record training and official certificate details separately.
- Review missing records and upcoming dates. Assign the next action, owner, and follow-up date.
Keep completed files with your business records. This kit supplements official certificates and is not an SCDOR-issued form. See the state requirements and sources below.

A Repeatable Training and Records Process
Use the same process for every new server or manager so deadlines and records stay visible.
Identify Covered Employees
Include employees working at least 10 hours per week in on-premises alcohol service and managers who oversee that service. A newly hired covered employee without a current certificate must complete training within 30 calendar days of employment.
Assign One Account per Learner
Each learner needs a named account because course progress, the proctored exam, required learner information, and the completion record are tied to that person.
Monitor Progress and Completion
Use LemonTree’s employer dashboard to invite employees, see who has started or completed training, send reminders, and review completion and quiz results.
Keep the Official Certificate on Site
After SCDOR issues the official certificate, keep a digital or physical copy at the licensed premises for the duration of the employee’s employment. The server must also keep a copy available while serving.
