Information collected automatically
When you use the site, we and our service providers may collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, login and security events, error logs, cookie identifiers, and similar technical information. Necessary technologies are used to operate and secure the site. Analytics and advertising technologies are used only after you give the applicable consent through our privacy-choice banner.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and provide course access;
- process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, seat assignments, and customer support;
- deliver lessons, videos, quizzes, exams, proctoring, certificates, and completion records;
- provide employer or group administrators with information about learners assigned to their organization;
- send transactional messages, such as receipts, account notices, course reminders, and support replies;
- maintain site reliability, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, enforce our terms, and protect users and the service;
- meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, contractual, or regulatory obligations;
- measure site use and improve our services when you consent to analytics; and
- measure advertising performance or deliver targeted advertising when you consent to marketing technologies.
3. Legal bases
Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract; compliance with legal obligations; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving the service; protection of vital interests where applicable; and your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use necessary cookies and similar technologies for functions such as login, shopping cart, checkout, security, load balancing, and remembering privacy choices. With your permission, we may also use:
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to deploy and measure analytics;
- Google Ads and DoubleClick to measure advertising and conversions; and
- Meta/Facebook Pixel to measure advertising and audience activity.
Analytics and marketing categories are denied by default under our consent configuration and should not be activated until you choose to allow them. You can accept, reject, or customize non-essential technologies on the banner and change your decision later using the “Privacy choices” control displayed on the site. We also honor supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. For details about cookie categories and durations, see our Cookie Policy.
5. Service providers and other disclosures
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to:
- Website, commerce, and learning providers: WordPress, WooCommerce, LearnDash, Elementor, SiteGround, and related hosting, caching, security, backup, and infrastructure providers.
- Payment providers: Stripe and other checkout providers you select. Their privacy terms apply to information they process directly.
- Video, identity, and proctoring providers: Wistia and miniOrange or similar providers when those features are used for a course.
- Email and support providers: services used to send transactional email and respond to support inquiries.
- Analytics and advertising providers: Google and Meta, but only for the categories you allow through the consent interface.
- Employers and organizations: if an employer or organization purchases or assigns your training, its authorized administrators may view assigned-course progress, completion status, scores where applicable, and certificate records.
- Government or regulatory bodies: completion or certification information when required by applicable law or an approved training program. We do not claim that every course or submission is approved by a government agency.
- Legal and safety recipients: courts, regulators, law enforcement, advisers, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of our services.
- Business transaction recipients: parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some laws may define consented advertising disclosures as “sharing,” a “sale,” or targeted advertising. You can opt out by rejecting marketing technologies or changing your Privacy choices.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide accounts and training, maintain completion and certificate records, comply with tax, accounting, contractual, legal, and applicable training-record obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. Retention periods vary by record type and the rules that apply to a course. When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it as appropriate.
7. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing as those terms are defined by applicable law. You may also have the right to appeal a decision about your request and to use an authorized agent.
To exercise a right, email support@lemontreetraining.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Certain information may be exempt from a request, including records we must retain to comply with law, document training, prevent fraud, protect security, or establish or defend legal claims.
You can update some account information through your account. You can control non-essential cookies through the Privacy choices interface. Transactional messages needed to provide purchased services are not marketing messages.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections, security monitoring, backups, and service-provider controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and notify us if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
9. International processing
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers. Privacy protections in another country may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
